ILS Review
The Islamic Literary Society is pleased to announce an important development in its publishing programme. From June 2027, the Islamic Literary Society’s existing publications will be brought together under a single publication, ILS Review: The Biannual Journal of the Islamic Literary Society .
ILS Review will bring together the work and editorial interests previously represented across the Society’s publications, creating a more unified and substantial platform for Islamic literary and cultural engagement. The journal will feature book reviews and recommendations, critical and scholarly essays, short stories, poetry, author and scholar interviews, literary and cultural commentary, and coverage of literary events and developments. This new format reflects the Society’s continuing commitment to encouraging serious engagement with books, literature, ideas, and the Islamic literary tradition, while providing readers and contributors with a broader and more cohesive publication.
Accordingly, from January 2027, the previous publications, including Other Words and ILS Digest, will no longer be published as independent titles.
We look forward to welcoming readers and contributors to this next chapter in the publishing journey of the Islamic Literary Society. Send your work to submissions@islamicliterarysociety.com
